LILBURN — Lilburn police seek public assistance in catching a note-passing robber who targeted an RBC Centura Bank in Lilburn on Tuesday.
The suspect entered a branch at 494 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road and passed a note to a teller indicating a robbery about 2:26 p.m. He then left with an undisclosed amount of cash through the front door, police said. Witnesses told police a red, anti-theft dye pack detonated inside the car he drove away in, a red hatchback with a Florida tag, said Lilburn police Capt. Bruce Hedley. The vehicle’s tag number began with either 654 or B54, Hedley said. Police described the suspect as a black male, 25 to 35 years old and about 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He wore a gray Atlanta Braves baseball cap, full beard, glasses, a black T-shirt and black shorts. Police urge anyone with information to contact Lilburn police Det. Robby Kirschner at 770-921-2211 or 404-516-0301.More like this story
