DULUTH -- Gwinnett County police arrested Monday a Norcross man suspected in an April armed robbery in which he and a partner ordered a victim from his home and drove him to a nearby ATM at gunpoint.
On April 22, police said 23-year-old Denny Chow was involved in the heist, knocking on the door of the victim's Pleasant Lake Village Lane apartment before forcing him outside and into his own vehicle.
From there, the victim reported, Chow and his accomplice rode with him to a Wachovia on Satellite Boulevard, where they forced him to withdraw $5,000.
Trying to escape, the victim told police he leapt from his still-moving vehicle near Ring Road. Chow and the other suspect jumped out with him, police said.
They wrestled over a handgun, with the victim claiming to have gotten the weapon away from them and unsuccessfully attempting to fire.
Chow is now in Gwinnett County Jail with no bail, charged with armed robbery and kidnapping.
