PREP ROUNDUP: Chambers tosses shutout win

LILBURN -- Amanda Chambers pitched a three-hit shutout to lead Parkview over Dacula 1-0 Thursday. Chambers struck out four to get the win (6-3). Mia Marshall drove in the only run for the Panthers (8-4). She knocked in Eryn Stett with a single in the second inning.

SOFTBALL

North 8, Duluth 0

SUWANEE -- Alex McDavid went 3-for-3 with four RBIs as North Gwinnett beat Duluth 8-0 in six innings Thursday. Caroline Rogers drove in two runs with two hits. Tori Prince added two more hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs (12-4, 5-2). Emily Wood (4-2) pitched a complete game to get the win.

Ashley Rossi, Erin Lipps, Maggie Kooker and Jeanie Perrucci each had singles for the Wildcats (4-6, 3-4).

Collins Hill 8, Peachtree Ridge 0

SUWANEE -- Kayla Floor pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Collins Hill over Peachtree Ridge 8-0 Thursday. Floor (7-1) fanned nine in the win. Mckenzie Halstead and Ariele Patterson each had two hits and an RBI for the Eagles (13-1-1, 6-1). Callie Star went 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored.

Archer 10, Shiloh 7

SNELLVILLE -- Alesha Mann went 3-for-4 with two extra-base hits and an RBI as Archer beat Shiloh 10-7 Thursday. Lynsey Folkerts also had two extra-base hits and three RBIs for the Tigers (9-2, 3-1). Taylor Harris added two hits and a run. Alliyah Williams (6-1) pitched a complete game to get the win. She allowed four earned runs and eight hits, while striking out five.

Amber Stillwell had three hits and three RBIs. Amber Johnson and Jenna Carr also had three hits. Aaliyah Woods added a pair of hits and an RBI.

Brookwood 9, South 1

SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood beat South Gwinnett 9-1 Thursday in six innings. Jenny Blackwell went 3-for-3 with three runs for the Broncos (15-4). Nicole Truett and Taylor Sexton each had a hit and an RBI. Emily Brantley had a hit and a run. Susan Norris added two hits and two RBIs, while Brandi Jones drove in a run with two hits.

Mill Creek 13, Mountain View 1

HOSCHTON -- Nikki Sagermann went 2-for-3 with four RBIs as Mill Creek beat Mountain View 13-1 in four innings Thursday. Chandler Griffin drove in three runs with two hits for the Hawks (12-2, 6-1). Jenna Holland added two RBIs. Caroline Wilson pitched a complete game to get the win. She allowed three hits and one run, while striking out three.

Lindsey Baxter (3-13-1) had an RBI double, while Kaylee Hennelly and Summer Spataro each had a hit.

Grayson 8, Central 2

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Grayson beat Central Gwinnett 8-2 in Region 8-AAAAA play Thursday. Breanna Ethridge allowed two earned runs in 51/3 innings. Kanani Cabrales did not allow a run or a hit in the final 12/3 to earn the save. She struck out three for the Rams (6-4-1, 2-3). Ethridge did damage at the plate as well, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Rachel McElroy was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Kylie Klim drove in two runs.

Lanier 7, Monroe Area 3

SUGAR HILL -- Sisters Meghan and Heather Kellett combined to drive in three runs with three hits as Lanier beat Monroe Area 7-3 Thursday. Kaylee Ramos and Amberly Hayes each went 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Longhorns (6-9, 4-3). Keisha Stone had two RBIs, while Holland Coursey and Lauren Pettit each drove in a run.

Ramos (3-2) allowed three runs to get the win.

GAC 15, Avondale 0

NORCROSS -- Natalie deLatour was dominant on the mound and at the plate as Greater Atlanta Christian beat Avondale 15-0 in three innings Thursday. deLatour pitched three perfect innings to get the win, striking out seven of the nine hitters she faced. deLatour added two triples, three RBIs, and two runs scored for the Spartans (8-5, 3-0).

Christine Young hit a three-run homer and scored twice. Krista Gustafson went 3-for-3 with an RBI, while Taylor Endres went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Wesleyan 2, Providence 1

NORCROSS -- Brittany Mitchell allowed one earned run in six innings to lead Wesleyan over Providence 2-1 in region play Thursday. Mitchell (4-5) struck out three to get the win. CaraMia Tsirigos and Katie Freking each with 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Wolves (5-5, 4-1).

Three runners were thrown out at the plate for the Stars (12-6-2, 4-1). MacKenzie Tuttle went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Anna Stahl also had two hits. Lauren Eggert and Kylie Kleinschmidt each ripped a triple. Kleinschmidt (8-5) was also the losing pitcher.

VOLLEYBALL

Dacula knocks off Shiloh

DACULA -- Led by a fine all-around game by Elizabeth Bennett, Dacula beat Shiloh 25-11, 24-26, 27-25, 25-20 Thursday. Kimberley MacIntyre finished with eight kills and a block for the Falcons (8-6). Jordan Serrer added 16 digs.

Norcross edges Mill Creek

NORCROSS -- Norcross knocked off Mill Creek 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-9 Thursday in a non-area match. Alex DeMercy led the Blue Devils (4-4) with 16 kills and three blocks. Lauren Ranney added 20 assists, while Katie Janowiak finished with six kills and five aces. Sara Snider had seven digs, six kills and two aces.

Kim Brody led the Hawks (9-8) with 18 kills, while Stephanie O'Toole and Emily Rose each had 10 kills. Ma'tia Hughes added 19 service points.

Parkview loses two on road

KENNESAW -- Parkview lost to host Harrison 25-19, 25-14 and McIntosh 25-11, 25-18 on Thursday. Katie Carroll led with 17 digs and 17 assists, while Sami Bosler had seven digs for the Panthers. Riley Weyher added seven kills.

Collins Hill splits with Johns Creek, Berkmar

JOHNS CREEK -- Collins Hill lost to Johns Creek 25-15, 25-17, but rallied to beat Berkmar Thursday 25-15, 25-19. Katherine Ahlswede led the Eagles (12-6) with 22 assists and four aces, while Courtney Oster finished with five aces and five digs. Erin Ensley added six digs and three kills. Sarah Stone had 12 digs.

Wesleyan loses to Marist in three games

NORCROSS -- Wesleyan dropped its match to Marist on Thursday 25-21, 25-18, 25-23. Maggie Smith led the Wolves (7-10) with 29 assists. Anna Davis added eight kills and three aces. Jennifer Miller finished with nine digs.

GAC falls to Holy Innocents'

ATLANTA -- Greater Atlanta Christian lost to Holy Innocents' Thursday 27-25, 25-15, 25-16. Makenzie Hobbs was 16-for-16 serving with three aces for the Spartans (10-5). Emma Taylor led with eight kills, while Catherine Chason finished with 22 digs. Rachel Waldrop added 22 assists.

Buford sweeps at Archer

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Buford knocked off Archer on Thursday 25-8, 25-9 and Chestatee 25-20, 25-5. Maggie Roper had a nice night with 23 kills and 11 digs for the Wolves (20-5). Jenna Falletta added 30 assists and Nancy Mattox had 12 kills.

Hebron wins two on road

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Hebron held off Flowery Branch 19-25, 25-20, 29-27 and took care of Winder-Barrow on Thursday 25-16, 25-13. Elise Murray led the Lions (16-3) with 13 kills and five blocks. Savannah Blalock added 14 assists, while Eden Murray added 11 assists and five blocks. Courtney Bishop finished with 10 kills and six aces.

Providence splits with North, South

SUWANEE -- Providence lost to North Gwinnett 25-23, 25-16; but rallied to beat South Gwinnett Thursday 25-14, 25-15. The Stars are now 12-8 on the season.
