CUMMING — Four teenage suspects — including two from Gwinnett — have now been charged in connection with Sunday’s murder of a security guard at a Forsyth County Ingles store.
Buford resident Nakitta J. Holmes, 19, was among the group of teens charged Tuesday with armed robbery and the killing of 37-year-old David Casto of Winder at the grocery store on Canton Highway in Cumming.
An unnamed 16-year-old from Buford was also charged.
According to the Forsyth County sheriff’s office, the masked gunmen stormed into the closed Ingles at approximately 11:30 p.m., forcing Casto and two store employees into the freezer.
Two of the robbers took the employees out of the freezer and into the store office. When they came back, Sheriff Ted Paxton said, Casto was dead from a gunshot to the head.
Holmes and 18-year-old Tyrice K. Adside of Cumming were both charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of murder.
Sharod Johnson, 18, of Cumming and the unidentified Buford juvenile have been charged with murder and a single count of armed robbery.
The three teens charged as adults will go before a magistrate judge for their first appearance hearings today.
