Kathryn Davis and Nathan McTigue
Dr. and Mrs. Jefferson Underwood Davis of Albany announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Elaine Davis of Port Aransas, Texas, to Nathan David McTigue of Port Aransas, son of Mr. and Mrs. David McTigue of Lawrenceville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sudie P. Martin of Winston-Salem, N.C., the late Earle C. Martin, Clarice T. Davis of Chapel Hill, N.C., and the late William H. Davis Jr. She is a 2003 graduate of Deerfield-Windsor School and a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor’s degree in biology. She is pursuing a master’s degree in secondary education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She is employed with the Flour Bluff school district.
The future groom is the grandson of Lea Schuyler of Rochester, N.Y., the late Richard Schuyler, Joan McTigue of Port Charlotte, Fla., and the late John McTigue. He is a 2003 graduate of Collins Hill High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is pursuing a doctorate degree in marine science at the University of Texas at Austin Marine Science Institute.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 27 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Albany.
