LAWRENCEVILLE — The trial of a Lilburn man accused of sending and receiving sexually charged text messages with a 14-year-old girl is scheduled to begin Monday.
Thomas Hartridge Bacot, 33, was arrested in June 2008 after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation took out warrants alleging he had possessed 10 sexually explicit images of the minor, sent her a picture of his genitals and had sexually explicit Internet chats with her. Bacot — facing similar charges out of Forsyth County at the time — was arrested June 19, 2008, on two charges of electronic transmission of obscene material to a minor and sexual exploitation of a child. He posted $16,800 bond the next day. Bacot’s Gwinnett trial was orginally scheduled to begin last year before being continued, court records show.More like this story
