City of Lawrenceville
The City of Lawrenceville, Georgia is soliciting proposals from pre-qualified vendors for the Production and Installation of the City of Lawrenceville Signage and Wayfinding Project. Only vendors who were previously qualified by the City of Lawrenceville through their submission of qualifications packages in response to the Request for Qualifications received on or about April 16, 2010 are eligible for submission and selection of proposals.
The Project shall include the construction and installation of wayfinding and street signage per specifications provided by the City of Lawrenceville and the furnishing of all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items necessary for the construction and installation of the signage. Installation of all signage shall conform with all DOT and MUTCD standards as required.
The Project consists of, but is not limited to the following major elements:
(1) Construction of wayfinding and street signage per design specifications which shall include furnishing all raw materials and labor necessary to construct the signage.
(2) Installation of wayfinding and street signage at locations selected by the City of Lawrenceville.
(3) Perform any work necessary and incidental to the construction and installation of the signage.
Time of completion for all work associated with this project shall be one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days from the date of a written "Notice to Proceed" from OWNER.

LITTLE MILL ROAD
The Buford City Commission is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide all labor, equipment and materials for Little Mill Road improvements. Work must begin within ten (10) calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Contractors must be qualified by the State Department of Transportation, received a Certificate of Qualification in accordance with the Rules and Regulations approved and adopted by the State Transportation Board, be a licensed contractor in the State of Georgia and comply with E-Verify and SAVE requirements.
Bids will be received at the Buford City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, GA 30518, no later than 2:00 P.M. Friday October 29, 2010. Bids received after 2:00 P.M. will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 P.M. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope of sufficient size with the following clearly typed or printed on the outside: Bids for Little Mill Road Improvements, Date and Hour of Opening, and Submitting Company Name. Totals from the three apparent low bidders will be available the following business day after 12 P.M.

A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor(s) will be required to provide a one hundred (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as a certificate of insurance fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best raring of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The City of Buford reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award as deemed in its best interest. Where the City of Buford provides forms for bid schedule and bond submissions, these forms must be used without exception.
INVITATION TO BID
The Housing Authority of the City of Buford will receive bids for replacement of interior ceilings and for Sheetrock repairs at existing public housing projects GA091-1, GA091-2 and GA091-7 in Buford, GA 091-3 and GA091-4 in Duluth, GA091-5 in Sugar Hill and GA091-6 in Flowery Branch. Work shall include but not be limited to the removal of plaster ceiling and replacement with Sheetrock ceilings in one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments. Work shall be per room on an as needed basis in either occupied or vacate apartments and shall include demolition and removal of plaster ceiling, installation and finishing of Sheetrock, replacement of crown molding, reconnection of light fixture(s), and replacement or repositioning of attic insulation for ceiling replacement with all new surfaces to be suitably painted and finished. Proposals for Sheetrock repairs on wall and ceiling in occupied or vacant apartments shall be considered at the cost of dollars per square foot. Contract will be for one year but may be extended annually for three years at the same price and conditions if mutually agreed by the Housing Authority and the contractor. Sealed proposals for service should be marked CEILING AND SHEETROCK and delivered by hand or postal service to the office of the Buford Housing Authority at the above mentioned address by 11:00 AM on the 1st day of November, 2010, at which time they shall be publicly opened and recorded.
INVITATION TO BID
The Housing Authority of the City of Buford will receive bids for mowing and lawn and grounds maintenance service at the office property and existing public housing projects in Buford, Duluth, Sugar Hill, and Flowery Branch until 11:00 AM on the 1st day of November, 2010. The said bids will be publicly opened and recorded at the above mentioned date and time and all proposals shall be clearly marked MOWING on the sealed envelope. Turf areas are to be mown at least four times per month during growing season between April 1 to September 1 as the weather permits. Turf areas are to be mown as needed during the dormant season between October 1 to March 31 as the weather permits. Leaves shall be blown from areas adjacent to the buildings during appropriate seasons and removed from the premises. All shrubs will be pruned as necessary on each mowing visit to obtain optimum appearance. All curbs, sidewalks, paved areas and growing beds are to be edged at least twice per month. Blowing of leaves, clippings and debris will be performed each mowing visit on all driveways, porches, steps, walks and curb surfaces. All asphalt areas will be kept free of debris created by mowers, edgers and string trimmers each mowing visit. It is expected that every property will be scheduled for weekly service and that all landscaped areas will be policed for trash and unwanted natural material. Herbicide should be used at air conditioning units fence lines and other appropriate places but not in lawns and around shrubbery and planting beds.
All labor, material, equipment and supervision are to be provided by the contractor. Contractor shall pay employees for work under this contract an amount equal to or greater than the prevailing Davis-Bacon Wage Determination.
The duration of this contract shall be twelve months commencing November 1, 2010, and ending October 31, 2011. This contract may be extended twice for an additional twelve months each at the same terms and price if mutually agreed upon by both the Hosing Authority and the contracting party.
City of Suwanee,
The City of Suwanee will accept Statement of Qualifications for a firm to provide on-demand Consulting Engineering for the City of Suwanee.
Services will primarily include providing civil engineering support to the Planning and Inspections Department associated with development plan review. On an as-needed basis, and given the qualifications of the selected consultant, additional on-demand services may include architectural services, transportation consulting, bridge and road design, storm drainage design, construction management, and other similar activities. Work may also include assistance with the citys small water system.
