LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Archer High School Dugout Club is sponsoring its second annual Divots for Dugouts golf tournament.
Last year's inaugural tournament was implemented to raise funds to build dugouts, according to a news release. This year's tournament will continue to raise money for the project. Dugout construction should be completed for the start of the 2010-11 baseball season.
Archer High School opened in Lawrenceville in 2009.
The golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Monday at The Providence Club in Monroe. Activities are planned throughout the day, including a putting contest, a raffle and a hole-in-one contest with a chance to win $100,000.
Registrations are currently being accepted. Hole sponsorships are $125. Individual golfers can sign up for $100, and a team of four plus a hole sponsorship is $500. Mulligan packages are also available.
On tournament day, registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at a cost of $125 per golfer.
