Annette Pate Clower, age 90, of Snellville, Georgia, entered into rest November 26, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her adoring family. She is survived by three sons, W. Emmett Clower, Jewett & Wanda Clower all of Snellville, Jeffrey & Margaret Clower of Loganville; daughter-in-law, Grace Long Clower of Snellville; four grandchildren, Tom & Katie Clower of Monroe, Margo Annette Clower of Loganville, Jerae & Daniel Krakeel of Snellville, Josh & Brandi Johnson of Loganville; three great grandchildren, Braylon Emmett Clower, Ellie Catherine Clower and Eme Rae Krakeel; sister-in-law, Ernesteen C. Phillips of Snellville; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Emmett Clower, Jr.; son, Woody Clower, three grandsons, James Eric Clower, Jeremy Scott Johnson, and Jarett Alan Clower; a brother, W. A. Pate, Jr.; and sister, Frances C. Clark. Mrs. Clower was born on November 30, 1919 to Linda Berry Pate and William Albert Pate, Sr. She grew up in the Oxford and Atlanta areas, but her family eventually moved to Snellville where she graduated from High School and made a lifelong home. She joined the Snellville United Methodist Church at the age of thirteen where she was the oldest, continuous member of the church for 78 years. Mrs. Clower was a member of the former Adult Bible Class, sang in the Choir and a founding member of the Women's Society of Christian Service (WSCS). She was a longtime member of the Snellville Keenagers and the Swingers Band. She loved her flower garden where she grew the most beautiful dogwoods and azaleas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and loyal friend. Mrs. Clower was a gracious lady and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A Service Celebrating the Life of Annette Pate Clower will be held Monday, November 29, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at Snellville United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Richard A. Hunter, Rev. Dr. Phil DeMore and Rev. Walter Jones officiating. Interment Snellville Historical Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
