Police are asking the public’s help in the search for a woman who robbed BB&T Bank on Scenic Highway on Thursday.
SNELLVILLE — Police are asking for help identifying the middle aged woman they say robbed a Snellville bank late Thursday morning.
According to police, the suspect entered the BB&T Bank at 2230 Scenic Highway just after 11 a.m. Thursday, passing a note demanding “a large sum of cash” to a bank employee.
Donning a black bandanna and brown glasses, the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen walking toward the Shell gas station at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Oak Road, Snellville police said.
The suspect is described as a black woman between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5-foot-6 and 125 pounds with large hips. She was last seen wearing a purple V-neck T-shirt with a white design over a black long sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Snellville police at 770-985-3576.
