LAWRENCEVILLE — An online ad for sexual services busted a young transient Thursday when it lured an undercover police officer to her hotel room, officials said.
Eighteen-year-old Kayla Nichole Clinton had allegedly posted Internet ads offering sex, posing under the fictitious name “Cassy, ” Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said. The site piqued the interest of investigators, and an undercover officer made contact with her. A tattoo reading “imperfect world” scrawled across her chest, “Cassy” made arrangements for the man to meet her at her hotel room at the Sun Suites on Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth Thursday. “Cassy directed the undercover officer to her hotel and solicited the officer into an act of prostitution,” Ritter said. Upon the officer’s arrival, Clinton was arrested and charged with prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution and possession of marijuana, all misdemeanors. As of Friday afternoon she had not posted $3,900 bond. Clinton’s booking sheet lists her current address as one in Olathe, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City.More like this story
