DACULA — A bicyclist died Thursday afternoon when he was struck by two vehicles near Dacula, police said.
Investigators believe the bicyclist, who was not immediately identified, was traveling west on Old Fountain Road near Apalachee Run Trail when a westbound vehicle struck him, police said. The man was ejected from the bike and the driver of second vehicle headed in the same direction was unable to avoid striking him, police said. An investigation is still in preliminary stages and fault has not been determined, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter. Ritter said an accident investigation unit continues to probe the incident. Check www.gwinnettdailypost.com for updates.More like this story
