BUFORD — Gunmen robbed an armored truck employee on Thursday morning as he refilled an ATM in Buford, police said.
The Dunbar Armored truck employee was restocking a machine at a Bank of America branch at the intersection of Buford Highway and Buford Drive when the gunmen approached him from behind about 11:50 a.m., police said. At least two suspects put a gun to the guard’s head or neck, then fled with an undisclosed amount of money, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Brian Kelly. Kelly said the victim didn’t even catch a glimpse of his assailants. “He didn’t turn around for fear of his life,” he said. No injuries were reported, and no suspect descriptions have been released. Kelly said detectives were interviewing witnesses and pulling surveillance video from surrounding businesses Thursday afternoon.More like this story
