LAWRENCEVILLE — A memorial service for Lonnie Harvel will be held at 4 p.m. today at Athens First United Methodist Church.
Harvel, who was the vice president of educational technology at Georgia Gwinnett College, died Thursday of a heart attack. He was 47. Athens First United Methodist Church is located at 327 N. Lumpkin St. in Athens. Early arrival to the service is recommended in anticipation of a large gathering. A reception will follow in Hancock Hall. The college will also conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday on campus in the atrium of Building B.More like this story
