LAWRENCEVILLE -- The National Weather Service has issued its first freeze warning of the season for Gwinnett County.
After a chilly, windy day, temperatures are expected to dip below freezing tonight for most of the county, said Robert Beasley, a meteorologist in the National Weather Service's Peachtree City office. While temperatures in high-traffic areas are forecast to be about 32 degrees, the mercury in other areas of Gwinnett could fall into the upper 20s.
Freezing temperatures are also expected Saturday night, with a forecasted 27 to 31 degrees throughout the county, Beasley said.
