Investigators say vacant home blaze was arson

LAWRENCEVILLE — Fire investigators say arson was to blame for a fire at a vacant house.

Neighbors reported smoke at the home on Guardian Way in Lawrenceville, at about 1:13 a.m. Sunday. According to a press release, the fire caused moderate damage in the single-story wood frame house and sent smoke throughout.

Investigators said the home, which was unoccupied, was intentionally set.

Georgia Arson Control offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for arson, the release said.
