2 men sought in car fire at Wal-Mart parking lot

STONE MOUNTAIN -- Gwinnett County fire investigators are searching for a man who set fire to a vehicle in a Wal-Mart parking lot early Friday morning.

According to fire investigators, two black men in a black, late-90s model Buick Regal pulled into the parking lot of the store at 1825 Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain at around 3:08 a.m. Friday.

Witnesses told investigators that the car pulled up to a 1978 Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup truck before one man, described as wearing long blue jean shorts and a black hooded jacket with fur around the hood, exited the Regal.

The witness reported hearing a loud popping sound, then seeing flames coming from the interior cab of the pickup truck. The suspect then reportedly ran back to the Regal and fled the scene.

Investigators believe that the victim was targeted and that the incident was not random.
