Heyward lifts Braves by Reds

ATLANTA -- Jason Heyward hit an RBI double with two outs in the ninth inning, giving the Atlanta Braves their answer to another Cincinnati comeback Wednesday night and lifting them over the Reds 5-4.

Heyward doubled twice and also hit his first major league triple. The rookie helped the Braves end Cincinnati's four-game winning streak.

Atlanta blew a four-run lead in the final two innings before recovering. Martin Prado singled with two outs in the ninth off Nick Masset (3-2) and scored on Heyward's double to right field.

The Reds, who lead the NL with 13 comeback wins, scored three runs in the eighth and tied it in the ninth on pinch-hitter Chris Heisey's leadoff homer against closer Billy Wagner (4-0). Wagner absorbed his second blown save in six chances but struck out Scott Rolen and Jay Bruce with runners on first and second to end the ninth.

The Reds' comeback from a 4-0 deficit denied Kenshin Kawakami of his first win of 2010. Kawakami threw six scoreless innings, giving up five hits and one walk.

Brian McCann hit a two-run homer in the first inning as Atlanta took a 3-0 lead off Aaron Harang. Chipper Jones drove in two runs with two hits.

Rolen, who had three hits, hit a two-run double off Takashi Saito in the eighth. Eric O'Flaherty relieved and gave up Drew Stubbs' RBI single.

Back-to-back doubles by Heyward and Jones drove in the first Atlanta run before McCann's homer.
