SUWANEE -- Former University of Georgia coach and athletic director Vince Dooley will be the special guest at Toast @ Town Center on May 27.
The event this month is hosted by the managing board of the Harvest Farm Community Garden.
Dooley will be on hand to sign copies of his latest book, "Vince Dooley's Garden -- The Horticultural Journey of a Football Coach," and other Bulldog memorabilia from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in front of Suwanee City Hall. Only memorabilia purchased during the event will be signed. Photos are welcome.
The 200-page book describes Dooley's passion for the outdoors and gardening and features 35 paintings depicting some of Georgia's most elegant gardens by artist Steve Penley.
In addition to Dooley's appearance, merchants will host area bands.
Toast @ Town Center is a regular monthly event during which downtown Suwanee merchants offer special deals, entertainment and in-store events and is held the last Thursday of every month through October.
