Tammy Rush, age 47, of Sugar Hill, Georgia succumbed on May 12, 2010 after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. Tammy was a graduate of Forest Park High School and later went on to pursue a career in Property Management. Upon the birth of her two sons, she set aside her career and became a stay-at-home mother. Tammy is survived by her sons Taylor and Parker Rush; recently relocated to Southport, NC with their father Chris Rush, mother, Melba Dobbs, father Weyman Dobbs, sister Lisa Trott and her husband Rick, grandmother Jewell Callaway, a niece, several nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Tammy was preceded in death by her loving sister Paula Dobbs. A memorial service will be held at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in Buford, Georgia, Tammy's chosen place of worship, on May 14, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Cremation was conducted by Flanigan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to Peachtree Christian Hospice or to the trust fund being established for Taylor and Parker.
