Dacula's Overby commits to play for Young Harris basketball

Dacula senior Breanna Overby has committed to the Young Harris College women's basketball program. Overby was an all-county and all-Region 8-AAAAA honorable mention selection as a senior.

Duluth's Coleman chooses Southern Wesleyan hoops

Duluth senior Shyla Coleman has made a commitment to play basketball for Southern Wesleyan University (S.C.). A four-year varsity player, she is the daughter of Liscia Riggs and Andre Coleman.

Lilburn's Saari advances in U.S. Open qualifying

Michael Saari of Lilburn shot 66 on Monday to advance in U.S. Open local qualifying at Marietta Country Club. The Parkview grad, who finished third overall, now advances to sectional qualifying.

'Prep Rally' to feature state soccer, baseball

"Gwinnett Prep Rally," a Gwinnett County high school sports TV program, airs baseball highlights of North Gwinnett-Milton as well as soccer highlights from Dacula-Milton boys, Brookwood-Centennial boys and North Gwinnett-Grayson girls on this week's show. GPR also will recap first-round action from the state baseball playoffs.
