Ralph Thompson, age 95, of Hoschton, GA formerly of the Bethesda Community entered into rest on May 9, 2010. He is survived by his daughter & son-law, LeAnnah & Steve Langston, three grandchildren, Amanda, Hannah and Kyle Langston all of Hoschton, GA; sister, Mrs. Joe (Cleff) Mays; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald & Margaret Thompson, Wendell & Shirley Thompson; brother-in-law, Dennis Samples all of Lawrenceville, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death in 2006 by his devoted wife of 65 years, Christine Thompson, and also by three sisters, Carolyn Simpson, Jeanette Anderson, Hazel Samples, and brother, Neal Thompson. Ralph Thompson was born in Lawrenceville, GA on Nov. 14, 1914 to Eunice Bramblett Thompson and Alvin W. Thompson. He graduated from the old the Lawrenceville High School and recently was honored as the oldest living member of the former Bethesda School at the 100th year celebration. He was a devoted member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church and retired after 37 years of service from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. His greatest joy was his family and working in the garden. He was known for giving away as much as his grew and kept. Ralph Thompson will be missed by everyone that knew this wonderful gentleman. A Graveside Service Celebrating the Life of Ralph Thompson will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Whatley officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
