NORCROSS -- For the second time in a week Tuesday, Gwinnett Sheriff's deputies serving a routine home eviction stumbled upon marijuana plants growing inside the residence in question, officials said.
While at the townhome of Jonda Lynn Bernice Carethers, 30, at 6351 Views Trace in Norcross, deputies found 20 pot plants growing in a small room off of the first floor, Gwinnett Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais said.
Carethers was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana after deputies discovered her grow system that included lights, exhaust fans and humidifiers, Bourbonnais said.
Last week, Gwinnett deputies discovered six marijuana plants growing inside a big screen TV while serving an eviction in Snellville.
