Pike Street Chick-fil-A reopens Monday with second drive-through

LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Chick-fil-A off Pike Street in Lawrenceville will reopen Monday with an all-new interior and a second drive-through lane outside.

The renovation, which took about three weeks and includes updated decor, new tables and chairs and fresh tile inside, is part of an overall plan in 2010 to upgrade 86 properties throughout the Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A chain.

One entrance to the restaurant has been closed, while the back entrance was widened to better accommodate vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot. The widening to the rear entrance has allowed a few parking spaces to be added.

The Pike Street location will celebrate its reopening with a customer appreciation day Monday. Samples of menu items will be available and kids will receive a free miniature plush Chick-fil-A cow and miniature basketball while supplies last. Customers can enter to win tickets to see the Gwinnett Braves play and a hand-spun milkshake party for 10.

"During the past 19 years, we have created many loyal customers here in Lawrenceville," said Mark Treadwell, franchise operator of the Pike Street Chick-fil-A. "The Lawrenceville community has been a large part of our growth and success throughout the last two decades, and we thank them for being a part of our Chick-fil-A family."
