SNELLVILLE -- It's said that too much TV can kill brain cells. Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies stumbled upon a whole new twist on the idea Wednesday.
While carrying out a routine eviction at a Snellville home on Wethersfield Road, deputies arrested a man after reportedly finding six marijuana plants growing inside a hollowed-out big-screen television.
In beginning the process of moving out belongings, deputies noticed the back panel on the TV was loose, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais said.
Inside, they found the small grow.
Warren English, who lived in the house with his wife and two young children, was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana.
Bourbonnais said there is unlikely to be any further investigation into the matter.
"It is what it was," Bourbonnais said. "It was six plants, not a major grow."
As of Wednesday afternoon, English was still being held in Gwinnett County jail on $10,000 bond.
