Gaye Griffin Parramore Johnson, age 72, of Snellville, GA passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Altus House Hospice following an extended illness. Born in Valdosta GA, July 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harry Griffin and Grace Holcombe Griffin. She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Johnson of Snellville; children: Cyndi Parramore Hungerford of Atlanta, GA; Dea Cox (Robert) of Greenville, SC; Alice Clements (Frank) of Rome, GA; Pete Parramore (Natalie) of Greenwood, SC: two step-children: Buddy R. Johnson (Lisa) of Loganville, GA; Joey E. Johnson (Kelly) of Monroe, GA: two sisters, Pat Lindenmeyer (Lin) of Summerville, SC; Mary Lou Griffin of Greenville, NC; and twelve grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Parramore. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Gaye Johnson to the Jane Parramore Nursing School Scholarship fund at Valdosta State University, 1506 N. Patterson St. Valdosta, GA 31602. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 2246 Wisteria Dr., Snellville, GA 30078. 770-979-5010.
