Mr. David Battles, age 56, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010. His father and mother, Daniel and Leota Battles, preceded him in death. He is survived by: wife of thirty-one years, Kitty Battles, Buford, GA; son, Rob McCoy, Suwanee, GA; granddaughter, Bethany Booth; grandsons, Kelley McCoy, Jacob McCoy and Caleb McCoy; sister, Karen Taylor, Oklahoma City, OK; and two nieces. Mr. Battles was born April 25, 1954 in Charleston, WV. He was currently employed with Orkin Pest Control in Atlanta, GA and was a top salesman for the company. He worked part-time at Sugar Hill Golf Course in Sugar Hill, GA. He was a national gold medalist in ice-skating and was an avid hockey player and golfer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
