Mr. George H. Sammons, age 76, of Winder, GA passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010. He is survived by: wife of fifty-five years, Clara Dalton Sammons, Winder, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Carol Sammons, Auburn, GA and Larry and Joyce Sammons, Auburn, GA; grandchildren Alicia Holt, Crystal Sammons, Steven Sammons and Trevor Sammons; great grandson, Landon Holt; sisters, Beulah Mae Hamilton, Toledo, OH and Eulavee McCoy, Williamsburg, KY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Sammons was born January 17, 1934 in Williamsburg, KY. He was retired from the City of Winder in Winder, GA. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Buster Green and Rev. Larry Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
