LAWRENCEVILLE -- Police have made two additional arrests in a teen club shoot-out that left several revelers injured March 20.
Lawrenceville police on Friday arrested Isham T. Clay and Christopher Nwanjoku, both 17-year-old Lawrenceville residents, for allegedly opening fire at VIP Sports Bar and Grill on East Crogan Street. Both are charged with five felony counts of aggravated assault.
According to a police report and arrest warrants, five people were struck when bullets flew. One victim told the Daily Post last week the victims are all teens. The club had been rented out for a teen party, the victim said.
The teen suspects join Jerome Holt, 21, of Lawrenceville, who was arrested last week. All three remain at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
The victim told the Daily Post that shots rang out after several people started fighting in a parking lot and that the shooting appeared random. Police recovered about 40 shell casings at the scene, the report says.
Inside the disheveled club, police found several small bags of marijuana, beer bottles and a "large amount of blood," the report says.
One officer found a price list for shots of alcohol -- a violation of the business' beer and wine permit, the report says.
Lawrenceville police officials with knowledge of the case could not be reached for comment Monday. The total number of arrests is unclear.
