James Matthew (Matt) Moates, age 28, of Lilburn, died Friday, March 26, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 29, 2010 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Rev. David Huff and Mrs. Susan Rumble officiating. Interment will be in the Lilburn First Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Alabama, Mr. Moates graduated from Parkview High School in Lilburn in 2001. He was a member of Lilburn First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny D. Moates. Survivors include his mother, Gale Moates of Lilburn; brother, Jared Moates of Lilburn; sister and brother-in-law, Dana & Brad Mack of Suwanee; nephew, Jonathan Mack; grandmother, Evelyn Forehand of Dothan, AL; aunt, uncle and cousins, Jane & Jimmy Johnston of Lilburn, Ronnie Moates and Jerry Moates of Lawrenceville, Debbie & Hazem Suboh of Duluth, and Judy & Curtis McCollum of Buford. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. (770) 564-2726 He died for me. I live for Him.
