ROSWELL Buford took an 11-6 win over Blessed Trinity on Thursday night.
Eric Eck threw a complete game and allowed six runs, six hits and struck out five to earn the win on the mound. Woody Ciepiela had three hits and an RBI, while Jamie Ritchie had two hits and an RBI and Mason Gentry had a hit and three RBIs for the Wolves (9-3, 1-1). BASEBALL Dacula 12, Druid Hills 2 DACULA Erik Schrum (1-0) pitched six innings, allowed a run and three hits, and struck out five batters to earn the win as Dacula topped Druid Hills 12-2 on Thursday. Offensively, Schrum was 4-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs, while Casey Nutt went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and four RBIs. Tyler Jarvis was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, while Michael Barnes and Evan Martin each went 1-for-1 with an RBI for Dacula (5-5). Hebron 10, Commerce 0 DACULA Danny Lockhart went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run to help the Lions (14-1, 7-0) shut out Commerce 10-0 in six innings on Thursday. Seth Gower was 1-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs, while Christian Dacilia and Jordan Hillyer each went 2-for-4 for Hebron. Kevin Burgee (5-0) got the win after he struck five batters, allowed only four hits and no walks in six innings. BOYS SOCCER Hebron 2, North Oconee 0 DACULA The Lions had a strong defense the entire game, resulting in a 2-0 shut out over North Oconee on Thursday. Cody Gardner and Brian Oduro each scored a goal, while Sean McCullough had an assist for Hebron (5-0, 10-0-1). John Foley had seven saves in goal for Hebron. Mountain View 7, Elbert Co. 0 ELBERTON Damian Paz contributed two goals and an assist and Eric Nunez also scored two goals to help Mountain View defeat Elbert County 7-0 on Thursday. Kevin Rojas, Matt Kilgore and Radu Rascot each scored a goal, while Michael Mills and Alberto Rojas each had an assist for the Bears (5-4, 4-1). GIRLS SOCCER Mountain View 9, Elbert Co. 0 ELBERTON Sarah Weber, Savannah Rabin and Alicia Velasquez each scored two goals apiece to help Mountain View shut out Elbert County 9-0 on Thursday night. Sarah Walls, Nadia Aghaie and Nicole Metsch each scored a goal for the Bears (6-0, 8-2). North Oconee 3, Hebron 1 DACULA Hannah Wilbanks had nine saves in goal for Hebron, but the Lions fell to North Oconee 3-1 on Thursday. McKenzie Towe scored the only goal for Hebron (7-2, 4-0) with an assist by Jordan Lowery. BOYS LACROSSE Peachtree Ridge 15, Norcross 2 NORCROSS Cory Hall led the Lions with four goals and four assists, as Peachtree Ridge took a 15-2 win over Norcross on Thursday at the GAC tournament. Jarred Harper scored three goals and had an assist, while Chris Sawdey, Nick Lombardo and Michael Ruffcorn each scored two goals and had two assists for Peachtree Ridge. Julian Gonzalez contributed a goal and an assist, and Tyler Fortier added a goal. Greg Rose was in goal and had three saves for Peachtree Ridge (8-1). GAC 15, Duluth 3 NORCROSS Scotty Smith led the Spartans with six goals, two assists and seven ground balls to help Greater Atlanta Christian defeat Duluth 15-3. Sam Kessler scored three goals, Jake Neill had two goals, two assists and seven ground balls, while Justin White contributed two goals and had 11 ground balls and an assist for GAC. Fletcher James and Dunny Harrison each added a goal for the Spartans (5-3, 4-2). For Duluth, Matt Eason had 20 saves in goal and gave up 10 goals, while Bryan Hodges and Charlie Hall each scored a goal, and David Kelley contributed a goal and had an assist for the Wildcats (2-5). Wesleyan 18, Riverside 0 NORCROSS Wesleyan shut out Riverside 18-0 on Thursday. Leading the Wolves in scoring were Drew Daniels with four goals, and Davis Brown and Nick Merlino with three goals apiece (2-3). BOYS GOLF Hebron 173, Archer 221 DACULA Taylor Mart was the low scorer with a 28 as Hebron beat Archer 173-221 on Thursday.
