BRASELTON -- A new 357,000-square-foot distribution center will bring 92 jobs to Braselton.
Safelite Group, which is the industry leader in vehicle glass repair and replacement, announced the distribution center at 1350 Braselton Parkway was designed to meet green building standards.
"This move is a direct result of our company's growth," said President and CEO Tom Feeney. "It is part of a detailed North American supply chain strategy that will support our continued expansion through 2015.
According to a press release, the company had considered expanding its Enfield, N.C., facility, but because of space limitations instead built the Braselton facility, which is expected to be in operation in September.
The Braselton location allows for more efficient and lower-cost transport of manufactured glass to points east of the Mississippi River, the release said.
