SUWANEE -- Gwinnett County parents and community members are invited to celebrate the arts throughout the month of March by experiencing the annual Tapestry Display, a showcase featuring student artwork.
Hundreds of pieces of art created by Gwinnett County Public Schools students are on exhibit at the school system's Instructional Support Center, 437 Old Peachtree Road N.W., in Suwanee.
The exhibit features paintings, drawings, three-dimensional art, mixed media, pottery, jewelry and two-dimensional art.
Artwork created by students in the Berkmar, Dacula, Grayson, Mountain View, Norcross and South Gwinnett clusters, including Grayson Technical Education Program, is on display through Tuesday.
From Friday to March 18, schools in the Brookwood, Central Gwinnett, Meadowcreek, North Gwinnett and Parkview clusters, including Oakland Meadow School and Phoenix High, will display their students' work. An opening reception is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. March 16.
From March 23 to 30, artwork from students in the Archer, Collins Hill, Duluth, Mill Creek, Peachtree Ridge and Shiloh clusters, including GIVE Center East and West and Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, will be on display. An opening reception is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. March 23.
Exhibit hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays.
