LAWRENCEVILLE -- A Gwinnett County grand jury recently indicted a Norcross man on charges he stabbed a man to death inside a Duluth bakery more than three months ago.
Indictments charge 28-year-old Son Hoang with murder, felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the death of Vu Quang Lu, 24, of Lawrenceville.
According to police, on the night of Dec. 1, 2009, Hoang confronted his ex-girlfriend as she and Lu were having coffee at Cafe Mozart Bakery at 2131 Pleasant Hill Road near Venture Drive.
The argument soon became physical when the two men began fighting, reports said, and Hoang pulled a knife and stabbed Lu several times in the chest.
Lu was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center where he later died.
Hoang fled, police said, but turned himself in to authorities about 90 minutes later.
Hoang remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
