NORCROSS -- Members of Resurrection Dance Theatre had already planned to travel to America this year on tour raising money to expand their facilities at the St. Joseph's Home for Boys in Haiti.

Following the earthquake that ravaged the Caribbean nation in January and destroyed St. Joseph's, these young dancers are on a mission to rebuild their home.

Twelve boys ranging in age from 9 to 20, some former child slaves, will share their talents of movement, expression and drumming during a performance today at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Norcross.

The group, which was started through St. Joseph's in 1985, has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada, as part of Dance Africa in New York and Chicago and for the Pope.

A voluntary offering will be taken during today's event, with proceeds going to the Haitian Timoun Foundation, an initiative that supports St. Joseph's and mission work in Haiti that was founded by Epiphany Lutheran Church Pastor Rick Barger.
