DULUTH -- Duluth does more than use twitter for open government.
Mayor Nancy Harris will host her second live Webcast later this month to reach out to residents.
Harris began a discussion on "What makes a healthy city?" during the city's inaugural session. She plans to continue with that theme during a lunch hour discussion March 25.
"The purpose is to look at the different environments and make sure you are doing proactive, sustainable decisions," Harris said of the project, where she has gathered feedback from local community groups on the topic for more than a year.
During last November's Webcast, Harris said she could tell that some of the 213 participants were from other states, but the themes that emerged were the same.
"The majority of the people focused on greenspace, parks," she said, adding that the cultural environment also was discussed.
Many participants asked about how the city is dealing with the economy, but Harris said she often threw the question back to the audience to see how people would like officials to deal with certain situations.
