Central Gwinnett's David Allen was coach of the year and his senior guard, Brian Williams, was player of the year in voting by the Region 8-AAAAA boys basketball coaches.
Williams was joined on the all-region first team by fellow Black Knight Jordan Adams. Meadowcreek's Terrance Glass and Lavon Hooks also were first-team selections along with South Gwinnett's Javonte Maynor. The second team included South's John Harris and Adonis Harrison, Berkmar's Yonel Brown, Shiloh's Corbyn Moye, Brookwood's Thomas Higginbotham and Parkview's Delano Spencer. On the honorable mention list were: Grayson's Javarris Smith, Central's Ayo Madamidola, Meadowcreek's John Ruff and Shaquille Morris and Berkmar's Brandon Thompson.More like this story
