SUWANEE -- Smoke from an early afternoon brush fire slowed traffic on Interstate 85 near Old Peachtree Road on Friday.
At about 12:40 p.m., firefighters found two large areas ablaze on the southbound side of the highway, officials said.
Between 1 and 2 acres were scorched, said Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge, but no vehicles or structures were damaged.
No injuries were reported.
The exact cause was unknown.
