LETTERS: Linder a great servant and will be missed

Thanks to Rep. John Linder for his service over the past years. John is one of the few politicians who made it a point to listen to those that supported him. His town hall meetings and e-mail site were always an open forum.

In this time of "self-preservation" of many of those currently in office, it is sad to see John decide to step aside. I, for one, appreciate his efforts, especially on FairTax reform. I am glad to hear that he will continue to work for effective reform of our current income tax system. Republicans and Democrats, as well, would be well served to duplicate his honesty and open approach of their supporters.
