NEW YORK -- Connecticut stars Tina Charles and Collins Hill grad Maya Moore are among 12 players added to the U.S. women's basketball national pool.
Joining the two Huskies are UConn alums Swin Cash, Asjha Jones, and Renee Montgomery. Alana Beard, Shameka Christon, Candice Dupree, Lindsey Harding, Angel McCoughtry, Lindsay Whalen, and Candice Wiggins were also added to the national pool.
The 12 players added Wednesday and the eight returning 2008 Olympic gold medalists will make up the national pool that will help choose the 2010 World Championship team and the 2012 Olympic team. All the players added took part in a fall training camp in Washington D.C.
