BUFORD -- Police found a missing Alzheimer's sufferer hours after he went missing from a Buford mobile home park Sunday evening, officials said.
The 78-year-old man was reported missing from his residence at the Countryside Village of Gwinnett Mobile Home Park about 6:30 p.m.
He was last seen outside his Horizon Parkway home around 3 p.m., said Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter.
Police activated a reverse 911 call to homes within a four-mile radius of the man's home. About 9 p.m., a resident on Plunketts Road reported the man described in the reverse 911 call matched the appearance of a man at their house.
A Gwinnett police officer found the missing man in good health, Ritter reported about three hours after the disappearance.
"He was returned home to be with his wife and family," Ritter said.
