BUFORD -- A Saturday night house fire in Buford was the fourth caused by lightning in a two-day span, Gwinnett County Fire Department officials said.
No injuries have been reported in any blaze.
Neighbors reported the Saturday fire about 7:51 p.m. in the 3000 block of Biltmore Woods Drive. Firefighters found moderate smoke upon arrival and contained the fire to an exterior wall, officials said.
Nobody was home at the time, and a neighbor helped by dousing the outside wall with a garden hose, said Fire Department Capt. Thomas Rutledge.
On Friday evening, officials blamed lightning strikes for damaging three houses in Lawrenceville and Dacula.
The Friday fires were reported within about 30 minutes of each other.
Firefighters responded to two more reports of lighting strikes Saturday night in homes in Grayson and Lawrenceville but found no signs of fire, Rutledge said.
