Troop members get highest Scout award

Six members of Hopewell’s Girl Scout Troop received the highest award for their Girl Scout Level on May 22 at Faith Hall on the campus of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Norcross. Collier Lewis is a member of Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Troop 29. She is an ambassador and received the Gold Award, the highest honor for high school girls. Collier earned the award with her project on Alzheimer’s Disease.

Princess Davis, Marissa Harper-Pearson, Sydney Watson and Courtney Wesley are members of Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Troop 229. They are Cadettes and received the Silver Award, the second highest honor for middle school girls.

Brooke Pearson is a member of Junior Troop 868 and received the Bronze Award, the third highest Scout honor.

Glover receives Eagle Scout rank

Joshua Tyler Glover, a recent graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, was awarded the Eagle Scout Award on March 14. Joshua’s project was to design and build an outdoor classroom for his church — Oak Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. Joshua is the son of Joel and Lyniece Glover of Lawrenceville.
