DULUTH -- Blue-clad gang members carjacked a young Norcross couple traveling with their toddler Saturday night in Duluth, Gwinnett County police said.
According to the police report, the couple, a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old, stopped their 1993 Honda Civic at the intersection of Pond Road and Old Norcross Road about 11:30 p.m. Two men pointed guns at them and threatened to shoot if they didn't get out.
Their 18-month-old child son also in the car.
Gianluca Gomez and Esli Villalta, both 19 and believed to be members of the gang 18th Street Blue, police said, drove off in the car before being caught near Pleasant Hill Road.
Police officers found two handguns believed to belong to the Bethlehem residents in a diaper bag on the backseat of the vehicle, along with extra bullets and a pair of blue bandannas.
The victims were not believed to know the suspects or have any affiliation with the gang.
Gomez and Villalta were booked into Gwinnett County Jail on charges of hijacking a vehicle, aggravated assault and gang activity. They remained incarcerated as of Tuesday evening.
