Mr. Jim Minton, age 82, of Dacula, GA passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010. He was preceded in death by parents, Edith and Gertrude Minton and brother, Edward Minton. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Lorene Frachiseur Minton, Dacula, GA; daughters, Jane Ashley, Braselton, GA and Ginger Minton, Dacula, GA; sons, Jim Minton and wife, Monica, El Paso, TX; Jeff and Carol Minton, Atlanta, GA and Greg Minton, Atlanta, GA; twelve grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Gilbert, Damian, Jamie, Matthew, Stephen, Ben, Alex, Tyler, Sam and Josh; three great grandchildren, Trent, Ashton and Jason; sister, Hazel Schmidt, Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy and Billy Ramey, Dacula, GA; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Lamar Frachiseur, Commerce, GA and Kenneth and Peggy Frachiseur, Stockbridge, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Minton was born September 9, 1927 in Knoxville, TN. He was a retired business manager from Camp Chevrolet in Chamblee, GA. He was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville, GA.
