The Gwinnett Daily Post was honored with 10 awards by the Georgia Press Association during the organizations' annual awards banquet Friday night at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. The Daily Post, which competes in Division A with the largest papers in the state, won six first-place individual awards and also was honored for its sports section and lifestyle coverage.
Photo editor Jason Braverman won for best news photograph and best Web photo, reporter Josh Green placed first in investigative reporting, Nate McCullough won for best humorous column, sports editor Will Hammock won for best sports column and photographer Jonathan Phillips won for best sports photograph.
Phillips also placed second for his photo essay and third for sport news.
The Daily Post also placed second for its sports section and third for its lifestyle coverage.
