Campfire leads to outbuilding blaze
NORCROSS — Smokey Bear would not be happy. An unextinguished campfire on the 5800 block of Kingswood Court in Norcross caused an outbuilding to go up in flames early Sunday morning, Gwinnett County fire spokesman Lt. Eric Erberly said, the building a total loss. Units responded to the location just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, and found the 10-by-16 foot outbuilding on fire, just 20 or so feet away from a home. Several recreational vehicles were lost in the fire, Eberly said. The blaze has been ruled an accident.
