GAINESVILLE -- A Banks County man has been named the district engineer for the Northeast Georgia district of the state Department of Transportation.
Todd McDuffie, who has worked with the Georgia DOT since 1984, will be responsible for preconstruction, construction and maintenance on every state route and interstate in Northeast Georgia, according to a news release. He will supervise 500 employees.
"Todd has a wealth of knowledge in the overall operation of the district and has a great understanding of the district's needs," Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Vance C. Smith said. "Todd has been the diligent face of the Department on the front lines in Northeast Georgia."
