WINDER -- Barrow County authorities raided three convenience stores Thursday as part of a crackdown on illegal gambling, an official said.
Stores in Winder and Bethlehem were searched but no arrests have been made, said Barrow County Sheriff's Office spokesman Investigator Matt Guthas.
The raids were the culmination of a month-long probe that included undercover operations by Winder and Statham police, along with Sheriff's deputies, Guthas said.
Authorities obtained three warrants and raided the following stores on suspicions of illegal gambling:
* Shell Station, 10 A Patrick Mill Road, Winder
* Shell Station, 830 Loganville Highway, Bethlehem
* G&S Shop, 669 Atlanta Highway SE, Winder
"Investigators continue to process the scenes and develop evidence," Guthas said.
The investigation continues.
