Gwinnett Daily Post
Three Gwinnett divers were named this week as National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-Americans for their performances in high school competitions in 2009-10.
Parkview's Sean Piner and Wesleyan's Zach Hernandez and Lauren Hall were the only local divers to make the list, which features the nation's top 260 high school divers (130 boys and 130 girls). Only 11 Georgians made the national list.
Piner won county and placed second in the Class AAAAA state meet last season as a sophomore. He scored 425.90 points at state in just his second year of diving, breaking the Panthers' 11-dive record multiple times this season.
Hernandez and Hall gave Wesleyan a sweep of the Class AAAA-A individual diving titles last season. Hall won her second state title in as many high school seasons with a score of 481.90, while Hernandez won his championship with 467.65 points.
